Dhanush’s Vada Chennai teaser out on his B’day

CHENNAI: The first teaser of Dhanush’s Vada Chennai has been released on the special occasion of the actor's birthday on Saturday.

 

Directed by Vetri Maaran of 'Aadukalam' and 'Visaaranai' fame, the duo is joining together for one more time for this gangster trilogy.

Taking to Twitter, Dhanush tweeted, “#vadachennai teaser!! One step closer towards my dream project. My sincere thanks to all my fans for all the wishes and blessings. My pillars of strength. Love you all.”

The teaser shows Dhanush as a young local hero who demands justice for his land his people. Dhanush, who has given the voice-over in the teaser, says, “This war will not end with one person’s death. Win or lose, we must fight. If we don’t fight back, they’ll continue to run us down. This is our home. We must fight for it. We must defend it.”

The teaser also introduces us to the various characters – Samuthirakani, Kishore, Ameer, Andrea Jeremiah, Daniel Balaji and Aishwarya Rajesh.

Vada Chennai is one of the most anticipated films of 2018. The narrative of the film spans three decades and depicts the actor in multiple makeovers.

Earlier, Vetrimaaran had said that the film won’t be a gangster drama. "It's a film about society. The story chronicles the lives of people inhabiting a village for over

35 years. Since we have so much to narrate, we thought it could be made in two or three parts. We will take the final call about the next part after seeing the response for the first film," added the director.

The film is jointly produced by Dhanush's Wunderbar Films and Lyca Productions.
